The easiest way to see what books, reports and other items we have available is to take a look at our Library Catalogue. The catalogue lists not only the items stocked in our libraries it also includes the holdings of other health libraries within the North East of England.
To borrow an item just visit the library that holds it; alternatively contact us or complete a Book Request Form. We'll arrange to obtain the item on your behalf ready for you to borrow from us in a few days.
Please remember: If your work circumstances mean you work some distance away or don't have a lot of time to visit our libraries in person, wherever possible we'll send what you've asked for straight to your workplace / home
How long can I borrow books for?
You may borrow up to 10 books for a period of 28 days. If you need them for longer you must either contact us close to the date they are due for return or you can renew them yourself (up to 2 times) by following the Login link at the top right hand corner of our Library Catalogue.
Reservations
If the copy of the book is on loan at your home library or another Trust, then please contact the library where you work to reserve it.
Inter-Library Loans
If you're looking for a particular book and you can't see it listed on the catalogue please get in touch with us and we'll try to obtain it for you from other sources that we have access to.
Recommend a book
We're keen to ensure that our library stock meets your needs. If we don't stock a particular book, or if there's something newly published that you think we should have please complete a suggestion form, send it to us and we'll let you know the outcome.
